What is this about?

There are many ways to view and gain insight into what is happening in your organisation. The Spectacular Ordinary Organisation process focuses on the christian dynamics working on and in your team, organisation or community.  It offers insights that are rooted in a Christian understanding of how life and organisations are intended to work and seeks to engage with your organisation from that rich and varied perspective. The Spectacular Ordinary Organisation is based around the book The Spectacular Ordinary Life (2008, Authentic)

How is this delivered?

To get the maximum benefit this process is delivered through leadership teams. The process has five movements which can take place over one or two days. The two day option gives more time for prayer and listening to God. The five stages are:

• Part One: Responding to the questions
• Part Two: Understanding The Spectacular Ordinary Organisation
• Part Three: Evaluation of questionnaire results
• Part Four: Discussion and prayer
• Part Five: What do we do next?

• Key questions to ask if your organisation is going to remain healthy
• Insight from others on the dynamics in your organisation

• A framework for decision-making
• A model that can shape the imaginations of the people they lead
• A way of discerning the critical and not so critical areas of organisational life

Viv Thomas has done considerable study in the area of leadership and spirituality culminating in a PhD in Theology and Culture focused on Leading with Trinity.
