Theology

Rooted in a Trinitarian understanding and experience of God, we consider that the conversation between Father, Son and Spirit is the point of all that there is and that the story of our lives is found in the story of God. This being the case, success comes from what God has done, enabling us to live lovingly, creatively and boldly.
We are made fully alive in God and each other having been made for community rather than individuality. In this context, we are defined by our relationships rather than our accomplishments, failures or ability to control. By embracing all that we do and do not know in response to the voice of God, it is possible to live authoritative and successful lives.

Statement of Faith

The love, grace and lordship of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit expressed through creation, fall, redemption and future life;
The divine inspiration and revelation of God through Holy Scripture and its consequent trustworthiness and authority in faith and conduct;
The love and judgement of God expressed to men and women made in his image but broken through sin and rebellion;
The sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross as the sole and all-sufficient way in which we can be redeemed and brought back to God;
The justification of men and women through the love and grace of God through faith in Christ crucified and risen from the dead;
The light, life, power, presence and friendship of God the Holy Spirit;
The priesthood of all believers who form the universal Church, the body, of which Christ is the head and which is committed by His call to proclaim, in speech and act, the whole Gospel to the whole world;
The expectation of the personal and visible return of the Lord Jesus Christ in power and glory and the creation of a new heaven and earth
